Major Disaster Process

As local resources are exhausted, locally elected official declare a state of emergency and turn to the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency and other partners to coordinate more resources to the disaster area. Should the State also need additional resources, that request is made from the Governor to the President of the United States for Federal assistance and a nation wide response through a Presidential Declaration of Emergency.
