Hall County CERT holds Final Training Exercise

The Hall County CERT program recently held an exercise with 20 volunteers, many of whom were youth.  These CERT graduates completed 20 hours of classroom and hands on instruction in basic emergency resposne and displayed those skills in a final examination.  Adult graduates of the CERT training are eligible to join the Hall County team of CERT volunteers.  CERT volunteers respond to planned and emergency incidents to support emergency reponders in a wide vareity of instances.

Teen graduates will work with the Hall County Emergency Management Department to establish a new Teen CERT program, intended to provdie an avenue for youth to learn more about careers in public safety, health care, public health and related areas.  Teens will also have opportunties for additional training and volunteerism.
